ADR-Haanpää Oy has completed the acquisition of Viinikka Oy
With reference to the bulletin announced on May 13, 2004 it is announced that ADR-Haanpää Oy and Erkki Viinikka have on June 23, 2004 signed a purchase agreement by which ADR-Haanpää Oy has acquired 100% of the shares in Viinikka Oy.
Companies controlled by Erkki Viinikka continue to be active in the following operations of Viinikka Group: Dry bulk transports between Finland and Continental Europe, service station operations and Viinikka’s real estate activities in Kokemäki.
The integration of Viinikka’s activities into ADR-Haanpää will start immediately. The combination of ADR-Haanpää and Viinikka enables more efficient traffic flows and guarantees the customers better logistics and other service solutions. Due to overlapping activities the integration work will include an analysis among others on personnel and depot structure.
ADR-Haanpää is the leading chemical transport and logistics firm in the Nordic and Baltic Countries. The transaction will increase ADR-Haanpää’s sales to approximately € 130 million. The combined company will employ some 1.000 persons directly and additional 200 persons through sub-contractors in Finland, Sweden, Norway, Germany, Estonia and Russia. The Group is also the largest operator between Nordic Countries and Continental Europe. The equipage of the group includes some 550 tank trucks, which perform annually more than 250.000 deliveries mainly to the Chemicals and Pulp & Paper industries.
