Eurotank and ADR-Haanpää to combine forces
Swedish Eurotank AB and Finnish ADR-Haanpää will combine their chemicals logistics services between mainland Europe and the Nordic countries on the 1st of September, 2008. Eurotank AB will be united with the operations of Haanpaa Group's Estonian company (Haanpaa OÜ) and Polish company (ZOO Haanpaa). The name of the company will be Eurotank AB - Haanpaa Group. The current owner of Eurotank AB, Mr. Daniel Hauffe, is assuming the position as its managing director.
The headquarter of the Eurotank AB - Haanpää Group will be in the office of the Haanpaa Group at Strandbadsvägen, Helsingborg in Sweden.
All of the companies will continue to be in existence in the same way as before. "Only the ownership of the companies will change", says the Mr. Vesa Itkonen, CEO of the Haanpaa Group. The company will concentrate on the liquid chemicals transportation between mainland Europe and the Nordic countries.
The benefit of the united entity to the customers will be that these two operators will together form a competitive and leading service provider for European liquid chemicals logistics, with a fleet of close to hundred trailer units.
"The combination will not have any influence on the personnel, since all of the employees of Eurotank AB, Haanpaa OÜ and ZOO Haanpaa will continue their tasks as before in the service of the new employers", says Vesa Itkonen.
Haanpaa Group is the leading liquid chemicals logistics company in the Nordic countries. Haanpaa Group has also had operations in St. Petersburg, Russia since 2004 and in Moscow, Russia since the beginning of 2008. The turnover for the whole Haanpaa Group was around 115 million euros in 2007. The turnover of Haanpaa OÜ is some 15 million euros. Additional to the tank lorry and tank container transportation, the Haanpaa Group will offer storage services combined with required techniques and know-how to satisfy its customers' whole logistics needs.
Eurotank AB has operated as a reputable family company and was founded by Daniel Hauffe's father in 1983. In 2003 he left the company and transferred the leadership to his son Daniel Hauffe. The turnover of Eurotank AB was some 4.5 million euros in 2007.
Simultaneously the Group will change the names of its companies in all countries to Haanpaa. The reason for this change is to communicate the renewal of the Group externally and company's target to strengthen its position in liquid chemicals logistics and provide wider value-add services in the supply chain.
